Sao Paulo – The Moroccan-Brazilian Center (CMB) for trade, tourist, cultural and sports services, set up in 2014 in Sao Paulo by an elite of Moroccans living in Brazil, is a body meant to promote bilateral relations in different areas. The CMB seeks to establish partnerships between trade, tourist, cultural and sports bodies to reinforce inter-cultural and inter-civilizational coexistence through the organization of Moroccan cultural events in Brazil and similar Brazilian events in Morocco, in addition to tourist trips in the two countries.Relations between Morocco and Brazil have witnessed in recent years a great impetus and momentum, especially after the visit of King Mohammed VI to this country in 2004, as part of a royal tour in Latin America, CMB president Ahmed Safiani told MAP. The Royal visit, which helped further strengthen cooperation between the two countries in all fields, encouraged a group of Moroccans living in Brazil, including businessmen, teachers and engineers, to think about the creation of a multi-purpose center and give concrete substance to the idea, he said.
