West Ham host Carroll’s former club Newcastle United in league action at Upton Park on Saturday, with Collision backing the 25-year-old to build on his immediate impact. “The big man has been working so hard to get fit, so it’s great for him to be back out on the pitch and well done to him,” Collison told West Ham’s official website. “Now he can build on what he did at Cardiff. “There were a couple of dodgy touches from him, but it was a fantastic ball for the last goal and we’ll all happy to get him back.” Carlton Cole, whose future remains uncertain with a short-term contract nearing its end, opened the scoring in the victory at Cardiff, with the Hammers grinding home despite a red card for defender James Tomkins. Now Collison expects the duo to bolster West Ham’s attacking threats as they seek to move away from the Premier League drop zone. “Carlton Cole did really well for us again on Saturday, he got another goal and that’s four for us now,” Collison said. “It’s great to have him in good form as well. England striker Carroll made his long-awaited return from foot trouble as West Ham claimed a 2-0 league victory at Cardiff City on Saturday. Carroll came off the bench to tee up Mark Noble for the second and decisive goal, easing pressure on manager Sam Allardyce and lifting West Ham out of the relegation zone. “It was a tough second half for us because they had a lot of the ball, especially when James Tomkins got sent off, so it was great to look over at the sidelines and see Andy Carroll coming on.” Cup thrashings at Nottingham Forest and Manchester City saw West Ham leak 11 goals in four days, before Saturday’s trip to Cardiff. Collison hailed Allardyce for staying cool, especially in the wake of that 6-0 humbling at the Etihad Stadium in the Capital One Cup. “The manager spoke a lot in the last week about showing character and working hard for each other,” said Collison. “I think that showed in what the lads did at Cardiff, there were lots of blocks, Adrian was fantastic for us again and it was a massive three points, which came at the right time. “The manager was fantastic all week: he hasn’t been too down in the dumps. “Obviously we were all disappointed about Forest and Man City, but he’s been there and done it all before, and he really picked us up before Cardiff. “That rubbed off on the boys and we went and performed on Saturday to get the three points.” Andy Carroll can lift West Ham out of Barclays Premier League relegation danger, according to Jack Collison. Ricardo Vaz Te has had his contract with West Ham terminated by mutual consent. The 28-year-old forward has been linked with a move to Turkey and can now pursue any new deal as a free agent. The Portuguese, who began his senior career under Sam Allardyce at Bolton and later had spells with Hull, Hibs and Barnsley, joined West Ham in January 2012 and scored the winner in the Championship play-off final win over Blackpool that May. Press Association However, he has fallen down the pecking order since the club’s subsequent return to the Premier League, and has made only five first-team appearances this season. “It has been a pleasure to be at a club like West Ham,” Vaz Te said on the West Ham website. “It was a fantastic opportunity and I am so grateful for having played here. Everything I achieved here and all my game time and my life off the pitch has been amazing. “I will never forget that day at Wembley – it was so special for me and for all of the fans involved. That is the kind of moment you don’t intend to forget. I’m very fortunate to have had that moment and I’m pleased I could do that for the fans, for the club and for my team-mates. “I would like to thank the West Ham fans and to tell them to keep supporting the club through what is going to be an exciting time over the next few years.”

KINGSTON, Jamaica, CMC – The Bank of Jamaica (BOJ) is reducing the policy interest rate offered on its overnight balances, by 25 basis points, to 1.25 per cent in a move aimed at returning and retaining the inflation rate within the four to six per cent target range by December 2020.“The rate reduction is intended to stimulate an even faster expansion in private-sector credit, which should lead to higher economic activity, consistent with the inflation target,” the BOJ said in a statement. It said that its most recent assessment in February 2019, projected that inflation would fall below the target at several points over the next year, before gradually getting to the target’s midpoint range over the medium term. The BOJ, the country’s Central Bank, said it anticipates that the key sources of upward price pressure over the next eight quarters are likely to emanate from increases in domestic agriculture prices to more “normal” levels; some imported inflation resulting from moderate crude oil price increases; and improved domestic demand conditions consequent on the central bank’s accommodative monetary policy stance over the past 18 months.Current assessments suggest that the risks to the inflation forecast have shifted to the downside, indicative of a likely lower out-turn.The Statistical Institute of Jamaica (STATIN) reports that annual inflation, as at February 2019, was 2.4 per cent, as against 2.3 per cent in January and 4.4 per cent in February 2018.But the BOJ noted that all underlying inflation measures, as at February 2019, “continued to be low”, noting that it suggests that recent economic activity improvements have not been adequate to propel inflation back to the target. The BOJ said inflation is likely to trend below the projected path, primarily as a result of expectations for a lower-than-projected pass-through of international oil prices to domestic energy costs.“In addition, the prospect of favourable conditions could result in lower-than-anticipated increases in agricultural prices,” the BOJ said in the statement.

SummaryReviewer Nathalie DuboisReview Date2018-04-13 13:49:27Reviewed Item Babyliss Soft Wave Twister Golden BlondeRating 1.0 / 5 stars, based on 13 reviews Baby lists soft wave twister. The product is wonderful, but the colour wasn’t right for me. Best if you can find one in a shop somewhere and colour match first before ordering. A good match for my blonde hair. Definitely saves time on a ‘bad’ hair day. It stays in place well but use a beak clip if it is very windy. Can not tell its fake hair and an excellent colour match. Great for a quick work hairstyle. With two small children, i don’t have much time to get ready in the mornings. I have been using these bun rings for ages and get loads of compliments. I wear one most days and they are a perfect colour match for my hair. Just put hair into a ponytail, twist and then put the bun ring in. Would also make nice party hair. Woulnt hesitate to recommend :-). Great product – am recommending to all friends. A colleague was wearing one of these and for weeks i didn’t realise it was a scrunchie. Thought she’d just been clever with her hair style. Just bought one for myself and love it. It does the job, but is not very thick. It does the job, but is not very thick. Unlike a previous bayliss twister. You need to use two really if you do not have very thick hair. Nice little hairpiece for everyday wear. . As a previous reviewer as said, this little hairpiece is not quite as full as my original one but still ok. Also there is a lot more lighter golden brown running through the darker colour which is nice if you have highlights. I stretch mine over the grips of a hair claw and twist my medium length hair up and clamp the hairpiece underneath, allowing my own hair to mingle with it. Looks very natural for everyday, unlike the usual much thicker ones you see online. Baby lists soft wave twister. The product is wonderful, but the colour wasn’t right for me. Facebook is Becoming Less Personal and More Pro… Guide to Performing Bulk Email Verification jolie odell Tags:#twitter#web The Dos and Don’ts of Brand Awareness Videos Related Posts A Comprehensive Guide to a Content Audit Finally, the powers that be are planning to put a stop to #liesboystell, #goodhead, and… well, all the other asinine, vulgar, and generally pointless trending topics one finds in the right column of the Twitter web interface.Over the summer, we noticed that Twitter was submerging some adult-themed trending topics, and we noted the absolute need for more top-down policing of the trends list, which should be available for surfacing interesting and timely items to engage users. Today, Twitter has finally acknowledged the brokenness of the feature and has stated its intentions to fix the issue.Twitter rep @jennadawn (no real name given, and no link from her Twitter profile, either) wrote on the official Twitter blog, “We’ve noticed an increasing amount of clutter in the public timeline, especially with trending topics. Trends began as a useful way to find out what’s going on but has grown less interesting due to the noisiness of the conversation.“So, today we’re starting to experiment with improvements to trends that will help you find more relevant tweets. Specifically, we’re working to show higher quality results for trend queries by returning tweets that are more useful. The improvement won’t be very noticeable at first, but this is a small step toward unearthing more value in search and getting you more relevant results.”We are interested to know exactly how this new algorithm will work. Clearly, the wisdom of the masses has proved to be anything but. We hope that, beyond editing the tweets that qualify as representatives of a given trending topic, Twitter will acknowledge that they already do police trending topics, and we hope they will do so with greater diligence, intuition, and intelligence.Vulgarity and inanity aside, we worry about dupes. For example, right now, FortHood, Fort Hood, and FtHood are all trending topics. Likewise, every time a good football game rears its majestic head, we see the name and city of each team start to trend, along with NFL and the like. There are many ways in which trending topics are busted, useless, and irritating – hence, many opportunities for making them customizable, interesting, and useful. We’re sensing an opportunity for third-party apps to step in here. Traditionally, Twitter is late to the game in making official features from ideas third-party developers have been working on for ages. Unless Twitter takes some impressive and noticeable action, an app might fix trending topics before Twitter does.

KUSI Newsroom, May 18, 2018 Categories: Local San Diego News FacebookTwitter New study launched to reduce raw sewage flowing in from Tijuana River SAN DIEGO (KUSI) — A study is being launched to figure out ways to reduce the amount of raw sewage flowing from the Tijuana River into U.S. waterways, the North American Development Bank announced Friday.Researchers will evaluate ways to improve and expand sewage diversion infrastructure, as well as methods to optimize existing facilities during rain, storms and other weather events that typically increase sewage flows.“We believe that this study will provide the best alternatives to increase capacity while diverting flows and ultimately address this significant transboundary issue in benefit of residents on both sides of the border in this region,” bank Managing Director Alex Hinojosa said. The binational bank finances environmental projects certified by the Border Environment Cooperation Commission, an institution created as part of 1993’s North American Free Trade Agreement. The study was discussed Friday during a joint stakeholder meeting between representatives from the bank, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, International Boundary Water Commission, Mexican National Water Commission and a Mexican water utility. The bank will finance the study with a $240,000 grant administered by an EPA-funded program.Sewage flow from Mexico has for decades sickened people and led to beach closures as far north as Coronado, in the process irritating a wide variety of government, environmental and recreational stakeholders.Citing inaction on the sewage issue, state Attorney General Xavier Becerra, the San Diego Regional Water Quality Control Board and the Surfrider Foundation all filed 60-day notices of intent to sue the International Boundary Water Commission this week.If the organizations follow through, they’ll join the Port of San Diego and cities of Chula Vista and Imperial Beach, all of which filed lawsuits against the water commission in March.
