Minister says no reports of sex change by criminals

Ratnayake however said that based on reports he had received from the police there were no details of criminals undergoing a sex change. The Minister of Law and Order Sagala Ratnayake was today asked in Parliament to respond to claims that some criminals undergo a sex change to evade arrest in Sri Lanka.United National Party (UNP) Parliamentarian Buddhika Pathirana claimed that police spokesman Ajith Rohana had said that some criminal go overseas and have their sex changed and return to Sri Lanka, making it difficult for the police to trace them. The Minister however told Parliament he will look into the reports and make a statement later. (Colombo Gazette)
